myMayz.com — Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 18 July 2026
Welcome to myMayz. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") explain the rules for using our website and app and for buying our products. Please take a moment to read them before you shop with us.
myMayz sells its own curated products directly to you — we are the retailer and the seller of everything you buy from us. There is no third-party seller involved.
These Terms are written to comply with the Egyptian Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018 and its Executive Regulations. Nothing in these Terms takes away or reduces any right the law gives you as a consumer. If anything here ever conflicts with your legal rights, your legal rights come first.
1. About myMayz and these Terms
1.1 In these Terms, "myMayz", "we", "us" and "our" mean [Registered company name], trading as myMayz, which operates the website mymayz.com and any associated myMayz mobile application (together, our "online store"), as well as our retail store at Mall of Egypt.
1.2 "You" and "your" mean the customer using our online store or buying our products.
1.3 By using our online store or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use our online store.
1.4 We sell and deliver within the Arab Republic of Egypt ("Egypt").
1.5 If you are ordering on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for that business, and "you" includes that business.
2. Eligibility and your account
2.1 You must be at least 18 years old to create an account with us. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older.
2.2 You can browse and buy as a guest, or create an account for a faster checkout and to track your orders.
2.3 When you create an account, please give accurate and complete information and keep it up to date.
2.4 Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Please tell us straight away (see Section 24) if you think someone else has accessed your account.
2.5 Your account is for your personal use. Please don't transfer it to anyone else.
2.6 You can close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or close an account if these Terms are broken, if we suspect fraud or misuse, or where we are required to by law. If we close your account and you have paid for products you haven't received (and you haven't broken these Terms), we will refund you for those products.
3. Products, descriptions and availability
3.1 We take care to describe and picture our products accurately. Even so, photos are for illustration — actual colours, textures and finishes (especially for handmade ceramics, tableware and food items) may vary slightly, and screens can display colours differently.
3.2 Products are subject to availability. We may add, change, or stop selling any product at any time.
3.3 If a product you ordered turns out to be unavailable, we will let you know and offer you a suitable alternative or a full refund.
3.4 Weights, sizes and quantities are approximate unless stated otherwise.
4. Prices, VAT and payment
4.1 All prices are shown in Egyptian Pounds (EGP) and include VAT and any other applicable taxes, as required by Egyptian law.
4.2 The price you pay is the price shown for the product at the time you place your order. Delivery charges, where they apply, are shown separately before you confirm and pay.
4.3 We accept the payment methods shown at checkout, which may include credit and debit cards, mobile wallets, and cash on delivery (where available).
4.4 Card and online payments are processed securely by our trusted third-party payment providers. We do not store your full card details.
4.5 For every order, we provide an invoice/receipt showing the details of your purchase, as required by law.
4.6 If we cannot take payment, or a payment is reversed or fails, we may hold or cancel your order.
5. Promotional and discount codes
5.1 From time to time we offer promotional codes, vouchers, or discounts. Unless we clearly say otherwise:
- each code is valid for a single use, for the stated period only, and while stocks last;
- only one code can be used per order, and codes cannot be combined with other offers;
- codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash;
- codes are non-transferable and may not be sold;
- codes may not apply to certain items (for example, sale items or gift cards); and
- a discount linked to a code is lost if the order is cancelled or the item is returned, and will be deducted from any refund.
5.2 We may change, suspend, or withdraw any promotion at any time. We may also cancel an order or refuse a code if it is used in error, in bad faith, or in a way we reasonably believe is fraudulent or breaks these Terms.
6. Placing your order and when a contract is formed
6.1 Adding items to your basket and reaching checkout is an invitation for you to place an order — it is not yet a contract.
6.2 When you confirm and pay for your order, you are making an offer to buy.
6.3 We will send you an order confirmation by email or message to acknowledge that we've received your order.
6.4 A binding contract of sale between you and myMayz is formed when we confirm that your order has been accepted and/or dispatched. If we cannot accept your order (for example, the item is out of stock, there was a pricing error, or we suspect fraud), we will tell you and refund any payment in full.
7. Pricing errors
7.1 We work hard to make sure prices are correct, but errors can occasionally happen.
7.2 If the correct price of a product is lower than the price shown, we charge you the lower amount.
7.3 If the correct price is higher, or a price is obviously wrong (a manifest error), we are not required to sell at the incorrect price. We will contact you before we dispatch, and you can choose to continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund. If we have already taken payment for an order that we then cancel for this reason, we refund you in full.
8. Delivery
8.1 We deliver across Egypt. Estimated delivery times and any delivery charges are shown at checkout and in our Shipping Policy.
8.2 We aim to deliver within the timeframe given, but delivery times are estimates and can be affected by things outside our control.
8.3 Risk in the products passes to you when they are delivered to the address you gave us.
8.4 Please check your order on delivery. If anything is missing, damaged, or incorrect, contact us promptly so we can put it right (see Sections 10 and 24).
9. Cancelling an order
9.1 Before dispatch: you can cancel all or part of your order before it is dispatched for a full refund — just contact us as soon as possible (see Section 24).
9.2 After delivery (your legal right to withdraw): because you shop with us online, you have the right under Egyptian law to return most products within 14 days of receiving them, without giving a reason, as long as they are in their original condition (see Section 10).
9.3 Some items cannot be cancelled or returned this way — see the exceptions in Section 10.3.
9.4 We may cancel an order if the product is unavailable, there was a pricing error, we can't deliver to your address, we reasonably suspect fraud, or these Terms are broken. If we cancel, we refund you in full for anything you've paid and haven't received.
10. Returns and exchanges
10.1 Your 14-day right. You may return or exchange most products within 14 days of receiving them, without giving a reason, provided the product is unused, in its original condition and packaging, and you have proof of purchase.
10.2 Faulty, damaged, or incorrect items. If a product is defective, damaged, or not as described, you have 30 days from receipt to return it, and you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund at no cost to you, in line with the Egyptian Consumer Protection Law. Where a product carries a legal warranty, it is additionally covered against manufacturing defects for the warranty period that applies to that type of product.
10.3 What can't be returned under the 14-day rule. By law, the 14-day no-reason return does not apply to certain items, including:
- perishable or food products, and items that can spoil quickly;
- products made or personalised to your specifications; and
- items sealed for health, hygiene, or food-safety reasons, once the seal has been opened.
This does not affect your rights if such an item arrives faulty, damaged, or not as described.
10.4 How to start a return or exchange. All returns and exchanges are submitted through our returns portal, which is the only way to request one:
Enter your order details, choose the items and whether you'd like a refund, exchange, or store credit, and follow the steps. Our team will guide you through collection or drop-off. If you need help, contact us on WhatsApp or by email (Section 24).
10.5 Returned products remain your responsibility until they reach us. Where the return is because an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect, or because we cancelled the order, we cover the return cost.
11. Refunds
11.1 Once we receive and check your returned item, we will process your refund.
11.2 Refunds are made to your original payment method by default. Where you prefer, and where eligible, you may choose store credit instead (see Section 12).
11.3 For eligible returns we refund the price you paid for the product. We also refund original standard delivery charges where the return is because the item was faulty, damaged, incorrect, or where we cancelled the order.
11.4 We aim to process refunds promptly after we receive and approve the return. The time it then takes for the money to reach you can depend on your bank or payment provider.
11.5 If you paid partly with store credit or a promotional code, the credit/discount portion is returned as store credit, and the amount you actually paid is refunded to your payment method.
12. Store credit
12.1 We may issue store credit — for example, for an eligible return, or as a goodwill gesture.
12.2 Store credit is added to your myMayz account and can be used towards future orders across our online store.
12.3 Store credit is non-transferable, has no cash value, and cannot be exchanged for cash — except where the law requires us to give you a cash refund (for example, for a faulty item).
12.4 Choosing store credit instead of a cash refund is always voluntary and does not remove your legal right to a refund for faulty, damaged, or non-conforming products.
12.5 If an order paid for with store credit is later refunded, the store-credit portion is returned to your account as store credit.
12.6 If any store credit has an expiry date, we will tell you when it is issued.
13. Fraud prevention and order verification
13.1 To protect you, our other customers, and myMayz, we carry out checks to prevent fraud and payment abuse.
13.2 We may ask you to verify your identity or payment (for example, confirming order details or providing proof of payment) before we accept or dispatch an order.
13.3 We may hold, delay, refuse, or cancel an order if we reasonably suspect fraud, unauthorised payment, or a breach of these Terms. If we cancel a legitimate order for these reasons, we refund you in full.
13.4 We may share information with our payment providers, banks, and the relevant authorities where necessary to prevent or investigate fraud, in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
14. Reviews and other content you submit
14.1 "Your content" means anything you submit to us or post on our online store — for example, product reviews, ratings, photos, comments, and feedback.
14.2 Your content must be honest, accurate, and your own. Please don't post reviews that are fake or misleading, or that are written in exchange for a reward in a way that hides that fact.
14.3 Your content must not be offensive, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, threatening, or unlawful, and must not infringe anyone else's rights (including privacy or intellectual property) or contain spam, viruses, or harmful code.
14.4 You keep ownership of your content. By posting it, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, reproduce, and share that content to operate and promote myMayz and our products across our website, app, and marketing channels. You can ask us to remove your content and we will do so within a reasonable time (this won't affect copies already shared).
14.5 We may review, moderate, edit, or remove content at our reasonable discretion — for example, content that breaks these rules. Please tell us (Section 24) if you see content that shouldn't be there.
15. Acceptable use of our online store
15.1 You may use our online store to browse and buy products, for your own personal or internal business use.
15.2 You may view, download for caching, and print pages for your personal, non-commercial use.
15.3 Please don't:
- copy, republish, sell, or redistribute material from our online store unless you own the rights or we've clearly allowed it (you're welcome to share links to our products and forward our newsletter and promotions);
- use our online store in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful;
- try to hack, damage, overload, or interfere with our online store or its security;
- introduce viruses or other harmful code; or
- use bots, scraping, or automated tools to collect data from our online store without our written permission (ordinary search-engine indexing is fine).
15.4 We may suspend or restrict access to our online store, or parts of it, for maintenance, updates, or security. Please don't try to get around any access or security measures.
16. Intellectual property
16.1 We and our licensors own all intellectual property rights in our online store and its content — including text, graphics, images, logos, designs, and software. All rights are reserved.
16.2 The myMayz name and logo are our trademarks. Please don't use them without our permission.
16.3 Other trademarks shown on our online store belong to their respective owners.
17. Your privacy
17.1 We handle your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights. It also covers how we use cookies.
17.2 Please read our Privacy Policy at mymayz.com. By using our online store, you agree to how we handle your data as described there.
18. Our liability to you
18.1 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory rights as a consumer under the Egyptian Consumer Protection Law.
18.2 We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these Terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
18.3 We are not liable for:
- business losses (we supply to consumers; if you use our products for a business, we are not liable for loss of profit, business, or goodwill);
- losses caused by events beyond our reasonable control; or
- interruptions to our website or app.
18.4 Where we are liable, and to the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order will not be more than the amount you paid for that order.
18.5 Our online store may contain links to other websites we don't control. We are not responsible for their content.
19. Your responsibility to us
19.1 If you break these Terms or misuse our online store, you agree to cover reasonable losses, costs, or claims we suffer as a direct result. This does not apply to the extent the loss was caused by us.
20. If these Terms are broken
20.1 If you break these Terms, or we reasonably believe you have, we may take steps that are fair and proportionate, such as: suspending or closing your account, cancelling affected orders, refusing future orders, or, where necessary, taking legal action.
20.2 Please don't try to get around any suspension or restriction (for example, by opening another account).
21. Changes to these Terms
21.1 We may update these Terms from time to time — for example, to reflect changes in our products, our processes, or the law.
21.2 The version published on our online store at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order. We encourage you to review these Terms when you shop.
22. General
22.1 Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our other policies referred to here (such as our Privacy Policy and Shipping Policy), make up the agreement between you and us for your use of our online store and your purchases.
22.2 If there's a conflict. If these Terms conflict with another myMayz policy or guideline, these Terms apply — unless the policy clearly states otherwise or the law requires a different result.
22.3 Severability. If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
22.4 Assignment. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another company (for example, if our business is reorganised), as long as this doesn't reduce your rights. You may not transfer your rights or obligations without our written consent.
22.5 Third parties. These Terms are between you and us; no one else can enforce them.
22.6 No waiver. If we don't enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
23. Governing law, complaints, and the Consumer Protection Agency
23.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
23.2 If you have a concern, please contact us first (Section 24) — we'll do our best to resolve it quickly and fairly.
23.3 Nothing in these Terms affects your right to complain to the Egyptian Consumer Protection Agency (CPA) or to bring a claim before the competent Egyptian courts, including the Economic Courts where they apply.
